Fishing gear

There are many who fish without all of the latest technologies in fishing gear. There is nothing wrong with this. It is a throwback to a simpler time and many people enjoy this. But, if you are the type of person who wants to be able to catch a fish and be proud of its size then you are going to need a little more than a stick and a string.

• Fishing Rods –It is best to start out with a nice rod. Those who think they might want to work their way up to a nicer rod are only in for a disappointment. An inferior rod will only lead to frustration so when starting out you should try to buy the best one you can afford. Always try to get the best fishing gear you can get for the budget you are on.

• Fishing Lines – The kind of line you use depends on the kind of fishing you will be doing. Obviously deep sea fishermen need lines that are stronger than a person fly fishing in a nearby stream. The biggest advantage to having a line that weighs less is that it is thinner. Because it is thinner, it is less visible to fish.

• Lures and Flies – Lures and flies are interesting to many people because each person seems to have a favorite, They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. It is important to have flies and lures that look somewhat similar to what is already in the fish’s natural environment because it would allow them to b familiar with what you are using. Using anything foreign could scare fish away.

These pieces of fishing gear are all must-haves if you truly want to catch some nice fish.
